Join us for the Ottawa Cha Gheill luncheon, featuring guest speaker Dr. Heather Stuart, who will be presenting on the subject of Overcoming Mental Illness and Its Related Stigma.

Heather Stuart, MA (Sociology), PhD (Epidemiology) is a social-epidemiologist specializing in psychiatric epidemiology and mental health services research. She is a Full Professor and Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-stigma Research Chair in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, with cross appointments to the Department of Psychiatry and the School of Rehabilitation. She is Senior Consultant to the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds, Anti-stigma program and Past Chair of the Scientific Section on Stigma and Mental Disorders, World Psychiatric Association.

The Cha Gheill luncheon is intended to fill the role previously held by the Over 50s luncheons in Ottawa, by providing an informative lecture and a friendly meal with Queen's connections. While the topics may be of most interest to a more established alumni audience, all alumni are invited to attend.
