Eric Beynon, BCom’98 is one of Canada’s quiet successes. As a principal architect for the largely-Canadian $20M Carbon XPRIZE, Eric is challenging the world to re-imagine CO2 (and help solve climate change). He has orchestrated 8 global oil and gas companies to collaborate on this project.
The $20M Carbon XPRIZE competition is catalyzing innovators around the world to turn CO2 into valuable products. It is the second largest XPRIZE competition to ever be launched and is being run by the California-based XPRIZE Foundation. Notable foundation board members include Larry Page (Google), James Cameron and Ariana Huffington.
Today, Eric is the founder of a new impact enterprise called 9 Billion Lives, focused on identifying and mobilizing the big, bold innovations necessary to tackle the world’s largest challenges and enabling dignified lives for the 9 billion people who will soon inhabit our Earth.
New Date: Tuesday, September 26
Those working toward their Certificate in Social Impact can count this event as 1 hour toward their conference requirements.
