Shakers and Stirrers is about supporting recent Queen’s alumni by creating a networking platform to develop professionally and personally as outstanding Queen’s graduates. Whether you’ve recently completed your academic career or you are already a young professional, these events provide the opportunity to make valuable connections to enrich your career after Queen’s. Mix business with pleasure as you get a chance to listen to our featured guest speaker and mingle with your fellow alumni.

 

Our first Shakers and Stirrers event features Kevin Page, MA ’82, Canada’s first Parliamentary Budget Officer. Engage with one of Canada’s top economists as he talks about life after Queen’s, how his time at Queen’s has influenced his professional journey and a call to action for future difference makers in the private and public sectors.

 

Afterwards, enjoy the company of your fellow alumni with some drinks and appetizers from Heart and Crown and expand your network.

More about our speaker:

 

 

Kevin Page was Canada's first Parliamentary Budget Officer. He has 31 years of experience supporting federal governments and Parliaments. He has served in all three federal central agencies including the Privy Council Office, Department of Finance and the Treasury Board Secretariat. He has a Master's degree in Economics from Queen's University.
